Croton ‘Freckles’ Houseplant — sporting a riot of speckled foliage that's a burst of color confetti, and it thrives in bright, indirect light, bringing a joyful, whimsical spirit into your home.

Botanical Classification:  Codiaeum variegatum
Common Name: Freckles Croton

CARE GUIDE:

Light. To truly shine, place it in a sunny spot, as it craves abundant light (ideally 4-6 hours a day) to showcase its vibrant foliage in all its glory! In insufficient light, your Croton may grow tall and thin, with leaves that miss out on their luscious, deep colors.

Water.
Water as needed, allowing the soil to dry out in between waterings. Never let your plant sit in water as it will cause root rot. If leaves’ edges begin to burn or curl slightly, that might possibly mean the water you are using to water the plant has too much chlorine in it. An easy fix for that is to let your water sit out overnight for the chlorine to naturally evaporate.

Humidity.
Loves its leaves misted. Mist the leaves to increase humidity around your plant, especially in the drier winter months. Misting can also help remove dust & clean the plant’s glossy leaves.

Toxicity.
Toxic and not pet-friendly.

Additional Care Tips. No need to worry if your plant sheds a few leaves after it arrives. Croton Petra isn't a fan of relocation, so a few leaf drops in the first week aren't a sign of any missteps on your part. Simply stick to the recommended watering and lighting tips, offer some tender loving care, and in no time, you'll witness new, vibrant leaves that will soon blossom into their full, radiant splendor!
