Event Plant Rental Policy

Thank you for considering The ZEN Succulent for your special event!


Scheduling may be done through our website, on our Event Plant Rental Booking Form.  

Once you have filled out the Event Plant Rental Booking Form, you will hear from a member of our team in 48 business hours or less. They will work with you to confirm the details for your event and pricing, and arrange for your deposit to be paid. Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been paid.

Our private event plant rental are often scheduled several weeks in advance - we encourage you to book 3-4 weeks in advance. If booked within 2 weeks of the event, a rush order fee of 20% of the total order cost will be added to your total invoice cost.


Costs of plant rental are based on a 48 hour rental period , with a 4 day maximum rental period (for an additional charge). There is a $500 minimum plant order per event and includes container rental. Pricing includes delivery/pickup within stated hours within the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill and surrounding areas with an additional delivery cost outside of our delivery area.

A non refundable deposit of 50% of the total plant rental cost is required in order to confirm a specific date. 100% of total plant rental cost paid no later than 72-hours before delivery date. If the invoice is not paid in full within 72-hours the plant event rental, there will be a 5% service charge added to total bill. Invoicing does not apply to university/college bookings.

The ZEN Succulent reserves the right to terminate this agreement and recover all plants and containers if the customer fails to pay any sum falling due within the time specified by this agreement, or if the customer is in any way in breach of the terms of this agreement.

Outdoor plants may be subject to a watering/maintenance fee after 2 days.

Payments & Invoicing

Once the Event Plant Rental and plant order is confirmed, we will send out total bill. A minimum 50% deposit is required upon booking. Booking is not confirmed until the non-refundable 50% of total bill is paid.

Invoices have to be paid in full no fewer than 72-hours before the scheduled workshop date. If the invoice is not paid in full within 72-hours the plant event rental, there will be a 5% service charge added to total bill. Full payment is required before plants/planters are delivered to event location, or at time of delivery.

Plant & Container Availability

Plants and container availability are subject to season and geographic location. Persons can note specific plants they are interested in renting during the ordering process. We do our best to select exact plants or similar varies based on high, texture and color but cant not guarantee exact selection.

All containers & plants supplied remain the property of The ZEN Succulent. The customer agrees to treat the plants containers with care and will not sell, remove, or transport these from the event address.

Delivery / Pick Up

We will deliver your rented plants to the event at the time given on booking form and pick up once the event has concluded at the given pick up time.

To prevent loss or damage, The ZEN Succulent responsible for all transportation of plants and planter rentals. The Customer agrees to not transport rented plants, or planters off site without written permission from The ZEN Succulent. Unreturned, damaged or missing items will be billed at three-times rental rate.

Plant Care Requirements

The ZEN Succulent will provide clean and healthy plants. In the event of a sudden plant loss, different varieties of plants may be used as replacements providing these are of similar value, appearance, and quality. The customer will be notified ahead of time and made aware of any potential changes.

Unless otherwise specified, plants rented for indoor use MUST remain inside and kept above 60 degrees at all times. Much of our plant selection includes tropical varieties that cannot withstand cooler temperatures.

Plants are expected to return to vendor in the same condition that they were rented out. Plants will be watered sufficiently prior to their delivery and the Customer is asked NOT to water, or feed the plants during their use. 

Damaged Inventory

The Customer will be liable for the cost of insuring and replacing plants in cases of; fire, theft, vandalism, or noticeable damage. Unreturned, damaged or missing items will be billed at three-times rental rate.


Due to plant rental scheduling, we request that you cancel no less than three weeks before a scheduled event. You must cancel by email to hello@theZenSucculent.com . The ZEN Succulent retains non-refundable deposit if plant rental is cancelled. All cancellations made in advance of less than 72 hours from advanced rental date are subject to 25% plant restocking fee , based off of plant order in addition to non-refundable deposit.
