How Your Midheaven Sign Affects Your Career

Hi friends! It’s Erin from TBH Magic back again to talk plants and planets.

The midheaven (or “MC” from Medium Coeli, literally meaning “middle of the sky"), is the highest point in your birth chart. It establishes and defines the culmination point of your life’s work. So while you’re probably familiar with your sun sign, and maybe even your moon and rising sign...the MC placement in your birthchart is specifically where you should look to learn about your career goals.

With so many changes happening around all of us in 2020, what better time to lean into your birth chart and learn about what work your soul is craving?

If you’re not sure how to figure out where your Midheaven is in your birth chart, please reach out to me at www.tbhmagic.com. You can book a birth chart reading with me from there!

Aries Midheaven

Aries is the baby. The firstborn. The initiator. If your Midheaven is in Aries, you are destined to GO in your career. Now, notice I didn’t say “stay” because you aren’t exactly meant to be anywhere long term. But that’s ok! The sooner you recognize you’re meant to strike the match, you can lean into work that allows you to do that. Don’t stay anywhere too long because you’re “supposed” to...you’re meant to pave the path for the rest of us.

Taurus Midheaven

With Taurus, slow and steady wins the race. While it might take you longer than others (looking at you, fire signs) to find your ultimate life’s work, once you do, you’re in it for the long haul! Your determination and groundedness are unmatched. A career surrounded by beautiful things, perhaps architecture or nature conservation, could suit your earthly strengths. You also have a deep desire to be surrounded by nice things...so you’re likely to appreciate a field where you can earn a lot of money!

Gemini Midheaven

Oh, Gemini. So many ideas and so little time! How will you ever decide what it is that you actually do want to do in this life? The beautiful thing with the Gemini Midheaven is that deciding on one thing isn’t necessary. You should embrace being interested in all sorts of topics. This is a placement that would thoroughly enjoy being an eternal student...perhaps you become a professor so you can remain surrounded by your favorite thing: knowledge (and new students every year)!

Cancer Midheaven

Sweet Cancer, you bring a nurturing and protective nature to the working world...which can be hard for some people to understand! The qualities you bring to your career are typically relegated to the home. But while many businesses want to remain “all business” your gift is integrating the cozy and calming surroundings of home into any office. And in 2020, you might just be working from home anyway! Talk about your ultimate desire!

Leo Midheaven

Shine, Leo, shine. If your Midheaven is in Leo, you were born to entertain us. And not just for fun...you are meant to make money by being wholly and energetically YOURSELF! Don’t be afraid to turn the camera around. Make a YouTube. Post selfies. Toot your own horn! Just don’t waste the power you have to gain a following. What important things do you have to say?

Virgo Midheaven

Virgo Midheaven placements are the most organized people in the office. They have an awareness of everyone’s tasks and they place utmost importance on routine and structure. With this placement, you have to-do lists everywhere! And unlike some other placements...you are definitely utilizing them! An organized office where you can help others will be gratifying.

Libra Midheaven

Libra needs partnership and balance above all else, so if your Midheaven is in Libra, you’re likely to be searching for a business partner. Needing a partner is not a weakness! You will actually shine in work when you have someone else to feed off of and be your mirror. Libra is also ruled by Venus, so like Taurus, you would do well in any career centered around beautiful things.

Scorpio Midheaven

Scorpio craves power and usually succeeds in securing it. With a Midheaven in Scorpio, you will want to be deeply involved in the work that you do. Those surface level “just a job” ways to make money will not interest you for long. You will want to truly dominate whatever field you inhabit. And if you work hard, you will be an unstoppable boss. Just be aware that you can come off intimidating at work…be discretionary with your powers!

Sagittarius Midheaven

Can you say, travel? Sagittarius loves adventure and as the highest place in your birth chart, it’s in your highest and greatest good to fit some getaways into your career. If you’re not traveling yourself, it’s likely that your business deals with something overseas. Like any fire sign, you’re inspiring to others. You appreciate learning about new cultures and should bring back everything you learn and share it with the masses!

Capricorn Midheaven

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and he means BUSINESS! You’re likely to be a workhorse, so make sure you’re doing something you enjoy! If nothing else, you will enjoy the money you’re making because Capricorn definitely enjoys to see the numbers in their bank account go up. Try to not be too rigid in your aspirations and focus on work/life balance which could be a challenge throughout your career.

Aquarius Midheaven

We’re living in the Age of Aquarius so if you have this placement, now is your time to shine! Aquarius is innovative and hyper focused on the furtherance of humanity. You’re creative and appreciate new ways of looking at the world. Because you’re a visionary, you might struggle with the little details, so just be sure you have some Earth signs around to ground you and bring your plans into this reality!

Pisces Midheaven

Pisces is a very floaty position for the Midheaven. Ruled by Neptune, there can be a lot of smoke and mirrors involved, so it’s not a traditionally easy position. However, Pisces has a direct link to the collective unconscious. You might find strength leaning into your extremely intuitive abilities and nurturing esoteric interests. Helping people feel what can’t be seen is your ultimate life’s work.
