The Astrological Planets and You

Hi friends! It’s Erin from Erin River Astrology and TBH Magic back again to talk plants and planets.

I’ve referenced lots of different astrological planets over the past several months, but I’ve never really deep dove into what each planet means. So with the organization and structure of Virgo season upon us later this month, I thought now would be the perfect time to ensure you understand each planet.

As a friendly reminder, mark your calendars for the last three Thursdays of every month for more plants and planets blog posts, and in the meantime connect with me here with any questions or comments. I would love to hear any suggestions you have for future posts!

Astrological Planets and You

Of course you were taught about the planets in our solar system in elementary school, but they take on a whole new meaning in Astrology! Here’s a simple guide to the main entities in a birth chart and the areas they rule:

  • Sun: your ego, how you want to shine in the world, your vitality, your father

  • Moon: your emotions, your instinct, your feelings, your mother

  • Mercury: your communication styles

How do you share your experiences with the world? Mercury will be more and more important as the years go on in this new era we’re occupying. There’s a focus on sharing ideas with one another, and giving previously undervalued and underrepresented opinions their time to shine.

  • Venus: what you love and value

  • Mars: your attitude towards sex and aggression/ fight or flight responses

  • Jupiter: your luck and the area of life you’re most willing to take chances

You will likely experience ease and peace in the area that Jupiter rules in your life. It expands whatever energies it’s around, so you don’t really have to “try” to be good at the aspects it governs…you’re a natural!

  • Saturn: where you experience restriction and tough lessons

  • Uranus: the unexpected twists and turns of your life

  • Neptune: your relationship with spirituality

  • Pluto: your relationship with death, rebirth, and transformation
