On The Ledge

On The Ledge is Jane Perrone's podcast all about indoor gardening. She covers just about anything you can grow in your own home, from cacti to chillies.  Jane has a great presence and style, not to mention some of favorite plant people like Summer Rayne Oakes of @homesteadbrooklyn and Darryl Cheng of @houseplantjournal

Bloom and Grow Radio

This is a great podcast that educates plant parents.  Maria, the host, is lively, curious and fun - we could listen to her talk about plants all day. She’s a self-described “former succulent killer turned crazy plant lady”.  Her passion to help you love plants as much as she does is clear. She’s not afraid to ask the obvious questions that aren’t actually that obvious to beginners.

One of our favorite episodes from Bloom and Grow Radio is when Maria tackles the panic-inducing topic of pruning. Photo credit: https://bloomandgrowradio.com/pruning/

In Defense of Plants

This podcast and blog are run by one of our favorite plant nerds, Matt. He believes plants are everything on this planet and uses his storytelling ability to share unique stories from the botanical world is full of amazing evolutionary stories. We love and appreciate his enthusiasm, and that he shares his vast knowledge with other plant-minded folks.

Epic Gardening

This gem of plant knowledge comes in an easy to digest form: each episode is under 10 minutes. But don’t let that make you think the list of topics is short too!  This podcast covers a wide range of topics, from pest prevention, to hydroponics, to plant care guides. Basically, as long as it has something to do with gardening, it will be on the show!

We Dig Plants

A now defunct podcast and blog, We Dig Plants is a still a great resource for plant knowledges. The show delivers the “Culture to Horticulture” for anyone who wants to connect and better understand their connection to the Plant Kingdom.

The show isn’t just a plant parent how-to, rather it also covers a wide variety of plant-related subjects, like “a show about pets in the garden… to the under reported… like the darker side of the flower business.”
