About the Instructor, Alexa:
Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and raised on a farm outside Nashville, Tennessee, nothing speaks to her heart quite like southern hospitality. With this hospitality comes deep love, intentionality and grace. She is a firm believer that the proper combination of these three things–both in her lifestyle and her designs–enriches the soul and fosters joy. Her hope is that you use her designs to live more intentionally, love more fearlessly and extend grace in all circumstances.
With formal training and previous experience as a graphic designer, Alexa found an unshakable passion for watercolor and hand-lettering. She left her corporate graphic design job behind in the Fall of 2014 and founded Sage Paper Co. Since then, she has found her niche as both an artist and a teacher. Her work has been published by The Knot, Cottage Hill, Southern Weddings, and Trendy Bride. She hopes to continue sharing her love of watercolor and calligraphy through classes across the Southeast!
